HUBBALLI, July 28: In a massive crackdown on drug consumers, the City police carried out raids on the drug consumers on Sunday morning in all police stations limits under the jurisdiction of the Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissionerate and held the suspicious ganja consumers.
From every police station, more than 20 suspects were subjected to medical test in KIMS hospital, Dharwad district hospital, and in Dharwad Institute of Mental Health and Neuru Sciences (DIMHANS).
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) said, “Following the medical tests, counseling sessions will be conducted for these individuals by psychiatrists at the RN Shetty Kalyan Mantap. Strict legal action would be initiated against those who test positive for the drug during the test.”
