DHARWAD, Oct 01: The forest officials, who have continued the search operation for the elusive leopard at the Karnatak University, could not yield any result yet.
According to a DH report, thick vegetation has been hindering the forest department’s operation as the varsity is spread over nearly 700 acre land and the area wherein the leopard was spotted has thick vegetation.
It has become a challenging task for the forest guards to search in the area. They further said that leopard quickly moves to other place if it sounds any trouble.
It further reported that a team of officials are patrolling on the periphery of the varsity campus and also nearby Mansur village wherein the big cat was spotted earlier too. The search operation continued in the dark and the hostel inmates have been warned to be cautious while venturing out in the night.
