HUBBALLI, May 20: Home Minister of Karnataka Dr. G. Parameshwar would visit Hubballi at 3.15 pm on May 20.
The home minister would visit the houses of recently murdered student Neha Hiremath and Anjali Ambiger and pay his condolences. He is believed to convene a meeting of police officers.
It can be recalled here that so far a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Circle Inspector and a Woman Head Constable have been suspended due to dereliction of duties. Political leaders across party lines have also demanded a strict police commissioner for Hubballi-Dharwad to curb the crime rate in the twin cities.
Parameshwar will fly from Bengaluru at 2 pm to reach Hubli Airport at 3.15 pm. He will stay in the city and return back to Bengaluru by 7:55 am on May 21.
