DHARWAD, May 26: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths carried out a raid and arrested a man who was allegedly involved in IPL match betting near Gandhinagar Cross in the limits of Vidyagiri police station in Dharwad.
The arrested has been identified as 24-year-old Rajesh Bakale, a resident of Dharwad.
The accused was allegedly involved in betting during Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals IPL match on May 24.
Based on a tip off, a team of CCB police led by ACP S. T. Vadayer inspector Prabhu Gangenahalli and constables carried out a raid and arrested the accused. They seized Rs. 15,000 cash, and two mobile phones.
Dharwad Vidyagiri police have registered a case in this regard.
