HUBBALLI, Aug 28: In a joint operation, authorities from Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, Police Department and KSPCB seized as many as 60 plaster of paris (PoP) Ganesha idols in Adhyapak nagar here on Wednesday.
The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has banned the manufacture, sale, installation and immersion of PoP idols.
The HDMC has formed to check PoP idols. KSPCB official Jagadish I.H, Health Inspector Suresh Rathod, police officers and others were present during the raid.
