Navalgund: The Lokanath Habasur-led Raita Horata Samithi has called on Navalgund Bandh on March 4 to protest against the state and central government’s silence over farmers’ issues and hike in fuel prices.
Informing this to mediapersons, Lokanath Hebasur said, a protest march will commence from Manjunath Nagar in Navalgund at 11 am, marching through the main streets of the town, proceed towards Lingaraja circle for the protest. The JDS party has express its support to the bandh, he added.
We are not supporting Navalgund bandh, says Siddappa Mupainavar, president of the Malaprabha Mahadai-Kalasa-Banduri Farmers’ Struggle Federation.
