Hubballi, Aug 5: In the second round of drive against drug consumers, Hubballi-Dharwad police subjected 467 suspected drug consumers to the medical examination at KMC Hospital here on Sunday.
Addressing presspersons, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that of 467 suspected drug consumers, 251 have tested positive. In all, 45 FIRs have been registered against the drug addicts, the commissioner informed.
The police then called the parents of these drug addicts and counseled them at RN Shetty Kalyan Mantap.
It can be recalled here that last week, the police subjected 399 suspected drug consumers in which 254 people tested positive and 59 cases were registered.
