Hubballi,July 01: A 58-year-old man died after a transport corporation bus hit their bike which was moving in the opposite direction in one way near Sangolli Rayanna Circle on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Basayya Chandrayya Chikkamath, a resident of Akkipeth. Arjun Nakod , who was riding the bike, suffered injuries in the accident.
Arjun was riding the bike with Basayya as pillion from Channamma Circle to Rayanna circle in the opposite direction when a speeding bus from old court circle towards Channamma circle hit the bike. Both the injured Basayya and Arjun were admitted at KIMS, but Bassayya did not respond to the treatment and died.
Inspector N.C. Kadavevar of Traffic North Police Station has reviewed and registered the case.
