Killer Bypass: Police Commissioner Inspects Itigatti Bypass To Improve Safety Measures
DHARWAD, FEBRUARY 02: Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner Labhu Ram on Monday inspected the measures taken at the bypass near Itigatti to prevent accidents.
District Superintendent of Police P Krishnakant, rural station inspector Shridhar Satare, traffic police inspector Mallanagouda Naikar, national highway officers accompanied the commissioner during the visit, and inspected the bypass.
The move to improve the safety measures at the bypass has been taken following the recent accident on the bypass where 12 people died. The road safety committee asked the concerned authorities to identify the vulnerable spots and take necessary steps to prevent accidents.
Labhu Ram and others inspected the warning signs put up by the contractors, among other existing safety measures.
