HUBBALLI, July 8: In a continued crackdown against miscreants, the City police conducted a parade of a total of 175 individuals accused in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases registered in the last 10 years in all the police stations under Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissionerate.
On Monday, the police authorities called on all the accused to the city’s CAR ground and gave stern warning.
“Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar said, “Hubballi-Dharwad twin cities are known as center of education, business and religion. Several miscreants and drugs peddlers are trying to misguide the youth. To control this, a parade of more than 170 drug peddlers and traders was conducted today. They have been given a strict warning,” the police commissioner said.
“They will be kept in close observation. If they engage in such activities again, strict legal action will be taken against them,” the top cop warned.
