DHARWAD, Oct 12: A Hyundai i20 went up in flames near SDM Dental College in Dharwad around 7.30 pm on Saturday.
Owner Rakesh says he noticed smoke billowing from the car, slowed down and got off to check the bonnet. All of a sudden, a fire started and the car went up in flames.
Rakesh was alone in the car at the time. He escaped in the nick of time.
No injuries were reported.
Police and firefighter are at the scene.
