Three More Covid-19 Patients Die In Dharwad Dist.; 18 In ICU

DHARWAD: Three more Covid-19 patients have died in the Dharwad district, raising the total fatalities to 32.

Patient-28462, a 73-year-old man from Chranthimath Garden, Dharwad, was suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARI) and had complained of fever and cough. He had the co-morbidity of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and was wheeled into KIMS super-speciality hospital, Hubballi, on July 6 and he died on July 7. He tested positive posthumously.

Patient-35294, a 54-year-old man from Subhash Nagar, Keshwapur, Hubballi, was suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARI) and had complained of fever, cough and breathlessness. He was hospitalised on July 8 and he died on July 9.

All the bodies were wrapped in two layers of shrouds and the final rites were conducted as per the Covid-19 protocol, Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said in a statement.

This apart, 18 Covid patients are in the ICU.
