DHARWAD: The deputy commissioner’s office has confirmed that there will be complete lockdown in the Dharwad district on all Sundays until August 2.
In a circular, the deputy commissioner’s office stated that all activities that are allowed on other days will be disallowed on four Sundays until August 2. The exemptions include essential services and weddings already scheduled.
The Sunday lockdown actually kicked in at 8 pm, Saturday, and will remain in force until 5 am, Monday. This includes the night curfew that exists from 8 pm to 5 am.
The clarification puts to rest the speculation among some sections of the public about the Sunday lockdown.
