The complete lockdown on Sundays announced by the Karnataka government will remain in force from July 5 to August 2,
Chief Secretary T M Vijay Bhaskar stated in an order on Tuesday, June 30.
However, the following activities will be exempted from the lockdown:
1) All essential services permitted during the night curfew will be allowed on Sundays, too.
2) All weddings already scheduled on Sundays will also be permitted.
This apart, the chief secretary also ordered that offices of government departments, boards and corporations, except for those coming under essential services, will be closed on all Saturdays, until the second week of August.
