Record 1,502 Cases Of Covid-19 In Karnataka, 19 Deaths

Karnataka reported 1,502 cases of Covid-19 between 5 pm, July 1, and 5 pm, July 2, in the biggest jump in the 24-hour period so far, as per the daily bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

The state tested a total of 16,310 samples during the period, of which 14,570 samples tested negative. The state has so far seen 18,016 positive cases. The state recorded 17 deaths while 161 patients are still in the ICU.

On the positive side, 8,334 patients have been discharged, including 271 who were discharged during the said 24-hour period.

Bengaluru Urban reported the most number of cases at 889, followed by Dakshina Kannada (90), Mysuru (68), Ballari (65), Dharwad (47), Vijayapura, and Ramanagara (39 each), Kalaburagi (38), Bidar (32), Tumakuru (26), Shivamogga (23), Mandya (19), Uttara Kannada (17), Hassan (15), Udupi (14), Kolar (12), Raichur (11), Bagalkot (10), Davangere (8), Yadgir, Belagavi (7 each), Kodagu (6), Bengaluru Rural (5), Haveri, Koppal (4 each), Chitradurga (3), Gadag (2 each), Chikkamagaluru and Chikkaballapur (one each).
