Passengers In Severe Hardship As Strike By NWKRTC Staff Continues For Day 2

HUBBALLI: The staff of North-Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) continued their protest on Saturday too due to buses have remained off the roads putting the passengers into severe hardship.

City buses and BRTS buses totally stopped from Friday afternoon. NWKRTC staff staged protests near Hosur Cross and old bus stand on Friday. As this was a sudden strike, passengers had to suffer.

The transport workers have been seeking government employee status. They want the same privileges or incentives as provided to the government employees and also a compensation of Rs 30 lakh to the kin of transport workers, who lost their lives during COVID-19 duty.
