Opportunity to Add Names to Voters’ List and Correction

Dharwad, Dec 29: The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024. As per the revised schedule, the voter list revision process for the eligible voters on January 1, 2024, has been extended until January 12, 2024. The deadline for inclusion, updating, and printing of voter cards has been set for January 17, 2024. The final voter list publication has been extended to January 22, 2024.

All eligible voters who turn 18 by January 01, 2024, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections can submit Form-6 for inclusion of their names. For corrections and photo inclusion in the voters’ list, Form-8 can be submitted. Relatives of deceased individuals can use Form-7 for deletion of names. The last date to submit these forms is December 27, 2023, as per the commission’s guidelines.

The Election Commission has advised using the Voter Helpline App (VHA App) or visiting www.nvsp.in or the official website of Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer at https://ceo.karnataka.gov.in to verify and rectify details in the voters’ list by entering the ID. For further information, individuals can contact the district authorities helpline at 1950.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Gurudatt Hegde mentioned that if anyone’s name is missing from the voters’ list within the constituency, they have the opportunity to fill Form-6 for inclusion in the voter list within the constituency area.
