HUBBALLI: The Navanagar area in Hubballi has been sealed down after a 28-year-old woman (P-1142) tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, May 17.
Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Deepa Cholan issued an order to this effect on Monday, May 18. Accordingly, the area within a 100-metre radius of the house of the patient has been sealed down until further orders. What this means is that only essential services will remain open in the area.
The deputy commissioner instructed the police to not let anyone come out of the sealed-down area for any reason. No private vehicle can enter or exit from this area either. In case of medical emergency and other essential services, police will issue passes.
Here are the boundaries of the sealed-down area:
East: Hubballi-Dharwad BRTS Road
West: Navanagar 6th cross
North: Kuvempu road (IT Park Road)
South: Navanagar-Gamanagatti Road (Cancer Hospital Main Road)
Boundaries of the buffer zone
East: Amargol Akshray Colony
West: Shivananda Nagar
North: Sutagatti Main Road
South: Ishwar Nagar
These restrictions will not apply to funerals. But more than 20 people should not attend funerals.
