DHARWAD: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has asked officers to take action on the Navalur bridge that is under construction on the BRTS Road in the city and submit a report on it within three months.
Legislator Aravind Bellada told the press that the chief minister has instructed the Urban Development Department secretary to submit the report.
“The chief minister has responded positively when I informed him about the collapse of the damage of overbridge recently. We had informed the government that the BRTS work in the twin cities was unscientific, but no action had been taken. The cement blocks used for the overbridge and the mud on the walls of the bridge have come off,” said Bellad.
“The chief minister has, therefore, been asked to take action on the concerned officers and contractors for the poor quality work,” he added.
