HUBBALLI: In a bid to celebrate Meeladunnabi in a meaningful way, Students of Sana Shaheen PU College of Hubballi visited patients admitted at various wards in KIMS hospital on Sunday.
Despite holiday, a large number of PU-1students of the college voluntarily gathered at the KIMS premises on Sunday morning. They later visited patients admitted in various wards at the hospital and distributed bath sets among them.
Later in the day, the students, many of whom aspire to become doctors, dared to visit patients at Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at KIMS and extended healing hand.
Speaking about her experience, a student Sakshi Thakur thanked the management of the college for giving her this opportunity to feel the other side of the life.
Iffat Savanur, another student, could not control her emotions and burst into tears while expressing her feelings. “Unlike theses patients, we have everything in life but we rarely thank our parents and God who gave us everything to lead a comfortable life. This visit will change my life,” she said.
Similarly, Zaid Kanaggeri, Idris Sirsi, Uzma Shaikh, Tanzeeha Shedam and other students spoke at the occasion.
Chairman of Sana Education Trust MM Malagi, Managing Trustee Ashraf Ali, Executive Trustees Ayub Savanur and Tariq Mujahid, Principal Yusubu, Yunus Allibhai, Salma Kadapa, Ahmed Bijapur and other staff members participated in the event.
