HUBBALLI, Jan 14: In yet another case, a doctor from Dharwad was allegedly duped of Rs 88.55 lakh from two bank accounts.
According to media reports, Fraudsters allegedly siphoned off the amount after collecting the account details from one Gayatri Uttur of Dharwad by assuring her more profit by investing in an IPO in share market.
The fraudsters transferred Rs. 88.55 lakh from the bank accounts in a phased manner in a period of over one month, after joining the doctor to a WhatsApp group, and assuring her more profit through investment in IPO.
A case has been registered at Cyber crime police in this regard.
