HUBBALLI: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi today inaugurated the second gate of Hubballi railway station and a railway by-pass track, constructed between Kusugal and Amargol stations.
The second gate, which was a long term demand of rail passengers, has been constructed to decongest the main entrance and to provide easy accessibility from Gadag Road. A foot over Bridge connecting to all platforms at Hubballi Station is directly connected from the second entry.
According to a release, the total cost of the second entry has been taken up at a cost of approx. Rs. 3.35 Cr. 3 windows for unreserved tickets, toilet facilities, 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler parking facilities have also been provided at the second entrance.
About By-Pass Rail Track:
To ease the congestion of Hubballi Junction, a new bye-pass line between Kusugal and Amargol has been commissioned. The 10 KM long double line facilitates diversion of all goods trains between Amargol to Kusugal so that Hubballi Junction station be able to deal more number of Express and Passenger trains. This line has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 150 Cr.
