HUBBALLI: The bus service from Hubballi to Hyderabad, which was stalled for almost six months due to the Covid outbreak and the following lockdown, is restarted.
As per the directions of the government, the buses will be started with all precautionary measures. The buses will start from the new bus stand on Gokul Road and the Hosur Regional Bus Stand, said H Ramanagoudar, divisional controller of the NWKRTC.
In the first phase, 1 AC sleeper (8 pm), 1 non-AC sleeper (7 pm), 1 Rajahamsa (7.30 pm), and 2 Vegadootha (7 am and 8 am) buses are being provided for the transport.
The Vegadootha and other luxury buses which will start at 7 am will travel through Gadag, Koppal, Gangavathi, Sindhanur, Raichur, Mehboob Nagar and Jhad Charla. The Vegadootha buses that start at 8 am will pass through Navalgund, Rona, Gajendragadh, Kushtagi, Sindhanur, Raichur, Mehboob Nagar and Jhad Charla.
All passengers are required to compulsorily wear masks as precaution. Also, no blankets or water bottles will be provided in the buses. Passengers have been provided online booking facilities. The counters too have been opened to book tickets for all buses.
Ramanagoudar has added that the Volvo bus service will be started depending on the requirement of passengers.
