Govt To Restart Buses to Maharashtra

HUBBALLI: The Hubballi-Maharashtra buses, which had been halted due to the Covid-19 lockdown, will be restarted with all precautionary measures, as per the government directions.

The first phase will have buses to prominent places in Maharashtra – Solapur, Barshi, Pandharpur, Aurangabad, Ichalkaranji and Miraj, among others – via Vijayapura and Chikkodi. Buses to Pune, Pimpri, Mumbai, Borivli, Shirdi and other places will go through Nipani and Kolhapur, divisional controller of the NWKRTC H Ramanagoudar has said.

As many as 21 buses used to travel from Hubballi to Maharashtra while 57 buses to Maharashtra travelled via Hubballi prior to lockdown.

The time and routes of the buses that will now go to Maharashtra have been given separately.

Ramanagoudar has said that the number and frequency of the buses to Maharashtra will be increased as per demand and need of the people.
