Farmers’ Stir Intensifies In Hubballi; Buses Stopped, Tyres Burnt

HUBBALLI: The bandh call given on Monday by the Raitha Sangha in opposition of the passing of the agriculture bills by the Union government, getting good support in Hubballi.

Members of more than 20 associations, including labour organisation, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, auto rickshaw owners’ and drivers association, participated in the protest that began early Monday morning.

The protesters, who gathered at the Chennamma Circle, set tyres on fire, stopped buses. The transport facilities as well as shops are being closed for the day.
