District administration releases travel history of Shantinagar corona patient

HUBBALLI: The Dharwad district administration has released the travel history of Patient number 589, a resident of Shantinagar in Keshwapur here.

He, along with his son, distributed food grains to the public on March 27 near Tuljabhavani Temple, and in the localities of Toravi Hakkal, Anand Nagar, Aravind Nagar, Old Hubballi, Tipu Nagar, Nekar Nagar and Keshwapur.

After the lock-down announcement, he has visited the Mutton Shops in Kamaripet. In the month of April, he visited Bengeri, Mahavirgalli, Belgaumgalli, Marathagalli, Shaktinagar, Vikasanagar, Gokula Road, Janatabazar, Surabhinagar, Hosur, Station Road, Tabibland, Kalyan Nagar, Venkatesh Colony, Deshpande Nagar, Dajibanpet, CBT, Railway Workshop, Ganeshapet, Goods Shed Road, Tadapatrigalli, Chetanacolony, Bhoospet and other places in Hubballi.

The public who have come into his contact could be infected with the coronavirus. Therefore, if anyone has met him should immediately call the district helpline at 1077 and visit the nearest government hospital, DC Deepa Cholan said in a statement.

  1. How should we come to know who is that person ….. without any information how will public come to know that person….who all had meet him …..

  2. The infected person name should be published, to recognize it recollect our contact with the person during his visit to our area. Without name anybody how can they come to kNow ?.

  3. To identify pl give the details of his name and photo so that public get awareness and subject to testing, just by giveing the pt number it’s difficult to identify.

  4. It’s definitely not possible for public to report unless the patient’s name is disclosed! When the government had shown no privacy concerns and had easily released the list of people to be home quarantined with their names, addresses and travel history, then what’s the privacy concern now??!! A positive person’s details are more important to be disclosed rather than a quarantined or isolated person’s details!
    The administration really needs to think about this. Otherwise, the virus can spread easily via primary and secondary contacts.
