HUBBALLI: The Dharwad district police have honoured and promoted a rural student who won minimum 23 gold medals in athletics at international level.
Aishwarya Hubballimath, a youngster from Kungol, has participated in two international and five national contests in the jump rope event and won 23 gold medals, four silver medals and two pro awards at international level.
Superintendent M Krishnakant and Deputy Superintendent Ravi Naik felicitated Aishwarya, who is participating in the sports competitions while continuing her studies.
The Police Department’s move to identify and felicitate a rural talent has promoted such talents to reach higher in their achievements.
