Curve Flattening? Covid-19 Tally Dips In Karnataka

Karnataka reported 1,498 cases of Covid-19 between 5 pm, July 6, and 5 pm, July 7.

The state reported only 15 deaths due to the infection, taking the mortality tally to 416, according to the evening bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

The state tested 17,742 samples during the 24-hour period, of which 15,549 samples tested negative. With 1,498 new cases, Karnataka has seen 26,815 cases of Covid-19 to date.

A total of 279 patients are serious as they remain in the ICU.

On the positive note, 579 patients were discharged during the 24-hour period, taking the number of total recovered patients to 11,098.

Bengaluru Urban continues to top the list of the worst affected districts with 800 new cases during the 24-hour period.

The other top districts are: Dakshina Kannada (83), Dharwad (57), Kalaburagi, Bidar (51 each), Mysuru (49), Ballari (45), Ramanagara (37), Uttara Kannada (35), Shivamogga (33), Mandya (29), Udupi (28), Hassan, Bagalkot (26 each), Raichur (23), Vijayapura (22), Belagavi (20), Tumakuru (16), Kodagu (14), Yadgir (10), Davangere, Kolar, Chikkamagaluru, Chamarajanagar (6 each), Koppal (5), Gadag (5), Chikkaballapur (3) and Chitradurga (1).

There was no case in Bengaluru Rural.
