HUBBALLI: Many Christian households in the city were busy doing last-minute preparations for the grand celebrations of their biggest festival of the year – Christmas – in the City.

All churches and Christian households are colourfully spruced up.

The centuries-old Hebic Memorial Church, the Church of All Saints, which is affiliated to the Church of South India, and the Holy Cross Church of the Roman Catholics caught public attention for their colourful decoration.

Various cultural programmes are being conducted as part of the celebrations in these churches and other places.

The twin cities have followers of different denominations of Christianity belonging to different ethnic and linguistic groups.

Each one of them celebrates the occasion according to his own traditions, which have also absorbed the local rituals over the years.
