HUBBALLI: Now you do not have to stand in queue to take ‘chigari ride’ as Hubballi-Dharwad BRTS company has come up with four categories of smart cards.
1. E-Purse cards: E-purse cards can be recharged online or by paying cash at POS counters. Apart from direct access, these cards can also be used to purchase paper tickets.
2. Smart cards: These cards can be recharged through the company website also from the newly-launched mobile application ‘Chigari’. There should be a minimum balance of Rs. 26 to enter into bus stations.
3. Concessional cards: These cards are offered to senior citizens specially-abled and monthly pass holders upon submission of valid documents.
4. Student cards: These cards are personalised passes for students of educational institutions in the twin cities.
Passengers will be able to enter the bus stops by placing the card on the fare gate and come out following the same procedure.
